Audrey Napoleon @U-31

This was actually on last friday but i was so busy till now to blog about it. pic is found on google, i forgot to bring my camera so i couldnt take ne pics damn it.

audrey is one of the dj i saw at Voyeur when i went to see Simian Mobile Disco few weeks back. check my blog about that one for more details. I didnt know her name at the time but one of the event invitation i got a week ago was with her on the cover. i never knew she was that famous. of course ill go see her! cover was only 5$ and U-31 was a pretty chill place. i heard good things about it and i never had the chance to go check it out till than. the opening djs were pretty good but i was waiting for audrey to go up the whole time lol. she played last so i waited like 2hrs. once she got up dou, it was worth waiting! shes so pretty and the music is freakin sick. im gonna b a fan and follow her around (creeper status)

my poker life

as most of my friends know i play poker like every week. i started i think like 2yrs ago? i knew how to play but wasnt good at it so i actually trained on facebook and learned strategies lol. after i started winning online i played at the casino. i was surprised how many people plays worst than on facebook. but bad players leads to bad beats...which i had all nite last nite and on the tournament i was in this morning.

i was reading some articles and one of the tip was to "keep track" of your winnings and losings. im pretty good at that but i found an android app on my phone "poker session log" which u put in how much u bought in for, amount cashed out, time u played, etc. and it calculated how much im making an hr and also graphs it so u can see how ur going up or down. i recommend to anyone who plays poker, its a good way to see how ur doing overall. u can win over 400 one nite and u think ull b ok for few weeks but u can also lose alot.

i played tournament for the first time today at oceans eleven. 45$ buy in. 25$ blinds to begin with. i think u start off with 3k or 3.5k. blinds go up every 10mins....yea it feels like it goes up every 2 hands. i was getting short stacked but waiting for a good hand like A K or even A Q and going all in pre flop got me to survive for 2hrs. when it was 2tables left (top 10 players, who evers in when theres only 1table wins) i got a AA for my second or third hand, went all in with small and big blind on my left with 2people calling the 1600 blind. i thought i won for sure but the guy with 55 called and destroyed me by turning a straight. i had fun so i think it was worth playing and i wanna play again. what i learned was you have to b aggressive than how u usually play. tip i read online was that once people r in the hand they would call even though its not a good hand to call a raise with. also u hav to bluff sometimes. example: blind was 100 i raise to 300 with AJ 2 guys put in 100 already so they call by putting 200 more. flop was 665 i had position and they both checked, i raise 1000 they both fold and i won 600 from the raise i did preflop.

im gonna start playing twice a week now and save up until i can buy a car lol

Fashion Show @Ruby Room

Few weeks ago i contacted MayStar(picture above) my fav club event promoter and asked if i can join her team to style hair for the models in the upcoming fashion show. she said yea and sent me some pictures how she wanted the models to look:] its been a looong time since i did something like this so it was alot of fun and i love meeting and tlking to new ppl. especially her events cuz its full of artistic ppl i get alot of influence from.

one of the model i did hair for. she was friendly and fun to tlk to. she makes custom jewelry and she said she can make something i ask for too~!
i didnt do everything w this models hair. it was more like i finished the style. there was another male stylist and he made a style but the designer(?) wanted to hav a little editing on it so i did wut she asked for. the guy was rite next to me when i was doing it so i felt kind of awkward, he said it looks good when i was done so i had alot of respect for him. i personally liked her hair the best out of 4 styles i did dou. hard to tell from pic but she had nice hair colouring done too. shes also a hair stylist and surprisingly we started at same time (4yrs).

these 2 girls had way too short hair for the style i was been told through messaging few days ago. soo i ended up just tlking w the model and see wut we could do to make it work. my camera took it blurry  so its hard to tell but i wanted her hair to look alittle bit messy than how it turned out but i guess it works w the outfit she wore. same thing w the girl in pic below it. i shouldve brought more product. i wasnt expecting any styles like this.

i had alot of fun and for sure ill b doing it again when i hav a chance. thank you everyone that came and saw the show and people that couldnt make it, i hope to see u next time :]

Vegas trip! ep.3 : Forum Shops

The last day has come and i was planning to go back around 5 or 6:00 and getting out of the hotel at 2 doesnt leave us much time to do nething.. there was a store i wanted to go so we head over to caesars palace where they hav the mall Forum Shops. it was realli nice and clean. i wish i could smoke in there dou. after having a cigarette in my mouth walking around everywhere i forget theres "no smoking areas" in vegas lol. So i go to Chrome Hearts and i got the tank top i wanted and i was looking for an earring or cigarette case but they didnt hav it... they had few earrings but didnt realli like :[ after few mins of looking around i came across these pins they had. i wanted something i can attach to my blazer (like a broatch) so this was perfect~:] not something i was planning to buy dou lol

Vegas trip! ep.2 : Tao Nightclub

I heard good things about this club and the club inside where we stayed at was closed, so we took the cab and went to the one inside venetian, Tao. I expected alot more expensive than clubs in SD but we were able to go inside right away (no lines luckily) and it was 20$ for cover. drinks were i would say same price as downtown SD, 2cocktails for 25$, still its expensive when you can get those for free at the casino. it was crazy packed inside and i never seen so many asians at a club lol. i also like how its open late, til 5am! we got there at 3am, you can never party this late in california...sigh. the lightings were cool but the music was something i dont dig, radio music bleh. after we were don at tao i went to play poker inside venetian. it was realli nice. probably the best poker room ive seen out of the 3 (MGM and Planet Hollywood r the other ones i saw). people playing were friendly and i enjoyed the time there but without winning any big pots i lost 100$ lol. i was so tired and thinking about driving back in few hours didnt realli help me concentrate.. i had to ask for a late check out, which made it 2pm instead of 11am.

Vegas trip! ep.1: Newyork Newyork

This is the hotel we stayed at. It has a rollercoaster on the rooftop, it was fun but kind of pricey.(14$ for a ride) it was freezing cold outside too. I was kind of upset this hotel didnt have a poker room, theres a bridge that directly connects to MGM grand that does have one dou.
the room we stayed in. i booked the Spa suite so it has a jacuzzi inside :) even though i only spent like few hrs in the room, having the extra space and jacuzzi was worth it. especially when i had to walk outside in the cold its nice to come back and relax.

did the japanese straightning on my sister

she has really curly hair but as you can see it gets straight after the chemical process. took like 3hrs. not too bad compared to 4hrs which i normally take when doing people with long hair. ive seen people do other straightnings such as brazillian blow out, chi straightning, relaxer, etc. but the product we use makes the hair straightest, and lasts alot longer. ive actually got it done on my bangs before and it makes it so much easier to take care of ur hair. just blow drying with ur hands and it gets flat ironed straight! not too much damage unless you have color or any chemical work done on your hair. call my salon and schedule an appointment if you want straight hair! ;]

simian mobile disco @ voyeur

on sunday i went to voyeur, club in downtown where i had my bday party :) and went to see simian mobile disco~<3 there was 2 dj's opening and they were both pretty good, one of the dj was a girl and it was my first time seeing a female dj. she had amazing performance and music was good but too lazy to look up her name lol. the club is pretty small so it was PACKED. i didnt expect this since it was a sunday nite and all the events i go to on sundays arent so packed. there was 2guys that was irritating me: 1. the clapping guy. he claps so hard next to my ears that it just ruins the whole music. 2. fat sweaty guy that keeps bumping into me and feels wet on my arm each time i make contact. other than that the nite was sweet.

I got a printer for 90cents

I started this thing called pennybids online and i won this printer for 90cents, plus shipping which was like 10$. still really cheap for a brand new printer. I was kind of disappointed when i found out it didnt come with a usb cable and i dont hav one that connects to this printer either...lame. ill probably only print things like once a yr but im happy i got it so cheap. but this online auction thing is addicting and scary how money disappears in a sec if your not careful. its seriously worst than poker i think lol for people that dont knoe about penny bids:
they're basically online auctions where they sell stuff brand new and all the items starts from $0.00. you have to purchase "bids" which r like tokens you need to bid on the items you want. the website i go to (http://www.quibids.com/) is 60cents for each bid. there is a time limit for every item and when it goes to 0. the last person that bid will b winning the item no matter what the price is. ive seen people win ipods and game systems for less than 10$. you would think waiting til the last second and put in ur bid would make u win easy like ebay, but this is the part where its different. everytime you place a bid, the timer would reset back to 10~20sec. so it can never end until the other person bidding against u gives up. every time you place a bid the item price goes up by 1 or 2cents depending on the item. soo if you put in 10bids and won an item for 5$, you really spent 11$. i lost alot already so i think ill take a break for now lol but its pretty fun so ill go back again

Heavenly Sent @Northpark

I went to this dessert place in northpark for some creme brulee~! parking was hard to find but this place was easy to spot, the sign is big and it looks cool :] i expected more of a high end place from outside but once your in, you get the "at home" feeling, similiar to living room but nicer. i ordered a hot chocolate and creme brulee, they were both delicious but i think its alittle over priced for what it was. it was around 5,6$ for the creme brulee, forgot the price for the hot chocolate. i heard the other cakes were good and they did look nice so ill probably go back again and try something different :]

The Birthday Massacre + etc. @ soma

They were AMAZING and i was so lucky to see the guitarist (above pic) and the keyboard (below). i got an autograph on the poster i bought and its actually my first time talking to one a band member from my fav bands so i was realli happy lol yea im still pretty excited even now that im home lol
newayz so the show went on like this...

The opening band was this duo from japan called Aural Vampire. girl vocal with a dj so the band was pretty much what i want to do with the band im forming now. the girl was cuter than ive seen her on videos and the dj wore a mask that lights up. they did a pretty good performance even though the vocal style is not my taste. she was trading a watch for something and someone traded a bag for it lol it was something i never seen and it was realli random. the next band was a regular guy vocal rock band. i cant even remember the name so yea they didnt realli impress me too much. wasnt bad dou. and finally THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE their performance is amazing and the vocalist is realli nice to her fans. some girl gave her a hair clip with a ribbon and she wore it on stage, but it eventually broke, how sad. they played my favorite song, "looking glass" and i was pretty happy. if they didnt play it i wouldve been bummed out just a little bit. the last band was the Black Veil Brides i never heard of them. they spent a long time setting up and since they were making a video they had the lights on. i thought that was lame. they were some hardcore rock, they reminded me of DMC (if you never heard of it, its originally a manga Detroit Metal City and they made a live action movie, its freakin hilarious i would recommend to ne one that likes japanese films) they had make up on and cool hair, very visual kei lol. when the show was over they were signing posters but thats when i saw the 2guys from birthday massacre so i didnt care about them, both of them were realli nice and friendly, i just wish i couldve met the vocalist (my friend did earlier gahhh). overall it was a very fun night and ill continue to listen to their music :)

Club Ivy @gaslamp

I went to Ivy (club thats inside hotel andaz) for the first time and it was pretty cool. when you enter its a lounge area with a bar and lots of wine selection, im not a red wine person so i just ordered a cocktail at the bar. i ordered the same drink (midori sour) as i did at analog and it was 3times the price lol. i guess at a club you have to expect them to over charge you. i guess theres 3 floors but we just spent the whole time at the rooftop area. similiar to stingaree but bigger and a better view. music was ok, not much of a fan of radio music but some of them was remixed pretty well. feel more relaxed compared to other clubs too, i think the chairs outside r for bottle service but we sat down on it since it was open and they dont force you to move somewhere else. i would like it alot better if they had electro/trance but overall its a nice club.

Trip to LA (ep.3) Gas mask time!

After we shopped and had dinner at little tokyo, i came back to my car and found a ticket on the windshield. i was so mad because i put in change on the meter and i went over less than 30min. arggg oh wells...i found a police station street across so i decided to put on my gas mask and poison that whole damn place for revenge. muhahaha jk i wish i couldve. i found this gas mask at my friends friend place, she needed a model for her school work so she took pictures of me. i actually bought a gas mask myself from etsy but it broke soon as i put it on and im still waiting for the replacement *sigh*

Trip to LA (ep.2) Little Tokyo!

On my journey to find a gloomy bear, we head over to little tokyo. But none of the stores sold them and the one store that did was closed :( im so unlucky...closed on tues only!! wth!! on the positive side dou, i found my friend i knew from middle school sitting down and taking a smoke (picture above) it was so random and last time i saw her was like 3yrs ago @anime expo i think? i wanted to spend more time w her but she was waiting for someone boo.
I got this shirt from a store called Pop Killer. they sell accessories and some clothings. its a really small shop but i always get something cool from here. last time i went here i got a leopard print hunter cap and checkered suspenders. its nice to have a store like this that sells stuff you usually dont see at the malls. i recommend to anyone going to little tokyo for some shopping, also the manager there is pretty friendly, his name is ichi :)

Trip to LA (ep.1) Maid Cafe!

I went to go see my friend visiting from SF to LA yesterday since it was my dayoff. I completely forgot about the first maid cafe that opened in LA and I found it on yelp when i was looking for a place selling gloomy bears. the place is called Royal /T and it was more artsy than I expected. Theres a small store selling stuff inside and unfortunately they didnt have gloomy bear :[ according to my friend the theme changes every once in awhile and this day they were selling emily the strange. even though they close at 6 they serve alcohol too (wierd huh?)

there was also this big poto potty looking ipod thing and i thought it was the bathroom, but in the inside theres a small stool and music playing. further investigation, i find an actual ipod on the wall connected to the speakers. i wonder if people use this other than make out sessions

Searsucker @gaslamp

I went here few days ago with my friend to check out the place my client recommended. I read some reviews online and it had great ratings. When we walked in, i kind of expected the prices to be alittle bit higher and yea it was lol the free bread you get as an appetizer was actually pretty good and i also ordered "duck fat fries" they sound gross but its realli good! they're just like regular french fries but its alot more flavor to it. as for the main dish i ordered the filet minon and my friend ordered the red rock fish. the filet minon was probably one of the softest meat i ever tried, they literally melt in your mouth :] the red rock fish was like tasting all kinds of flavor at once. very tasty and it was something new to me (new in a good way of course).
they also had a bar but i didnt feel like drinking that night so i have no information about their drinks :[ i would definetely go back and i recommend to anyone that is willing to spend 20~30$ on food

Ads finally here!

My friend did the graphic designing and she was worried it might print different but it turned out perfect! I just ordered 100 copies at first just because i wanted to make sure it would print in good quality. but i might order more depending how many people actually takes the card. contact me if you want to get a stack of cards and are willing to spread it around :]

wtf??a topless salon!?

i knoe this is my second post of the day and i don want to seem like i have no life...but i just had to share this with everyone!lol
i was checking my emails today and there was one with a title that catched my eye from "behind the chair"(a website that has articles and forums about hairstylists and salons all over the world) TOPLESS SALON is probably the first one that opened in Australia. it saids they charge 60$ for a haircut, also its "for men only" salon obviously. i know theres alot of salons that r higher end that charges that much or even more but these girls probably do a same job as you would get at a local barber shop that charges like 10$. come on guys, do u want to look at boobs and get a shitty haircut? but then u never know..they might b good.

source: http://www.behindthechair.com/displayarticle.aspx?ID=1902

(pic unrelated)

yui's new haircut!

she actually had long hair when she came in but had to cut it because of the damage :[ the new style looks cute on her dou :) its not just her but i had few clients telling me "no layer or thinning" is the heavy look the new trend now? i check the japanese hair style magazines whenever they come out w the new one and alot of styles r no layer w perm. lets all get perms noww :D

as Edward Scissorhands, day 3

After only sleeping for like 4hrs i wake up, get ready and went to work with the outfit on lol. i was so tired and out of it that i left my redbull on top of my car and drove off. i NEEDED that so i bought another energy drink at mitsuwa. its so convenient to have a market near your work :]

I got off of work around 6 and just bought some food at mitsuwa and went home. even though i was extremely tired i can never sleep too early -.- i had plans from 9 and wanted to take a nap til then but ended up just laying down on my bed playing with my phone lol after my friends showed up we went to downtown to go to this bar called Analog. it was realli clean and there was 2sides. 1 was when u go in u see few tables and a counter, more like a lounge/restraunt feeling. the back side was more like a club, there was a DJ playing pretty cool songs and few TVs on the top where u can play ps3 lol it was so random, and my friend chris started playing mortal combat. most of the time we just went to the outdoor area to smoke and just people watch. it was a good halloween :)

as Edward Scissorhands, day 2

my friend rented a house for the night and had a pretty big party. people loved my outfit and it was worth making the hands. i just wish i would thought of it earlier and put more effort into making them :[ oh wellz i had a blast and todays the day!i just realized i forgot there was so many kids living in my apartment complex and i forgot to buy candies...mayb ill giv them handful of rice or ask the parents if its ok if i giv them beer. i shall leave de house before they start coming *poof*

As edward scissor hands, day 1

I decided to go to one of the Maystar (promoter for all these cool events) events for fri nite. The place was at Vin de Syrah, a hidden bar/lounge on the corner of 5th and E st. they dont even hav a real sign. it was like a poster pointing down underneath Meltingpot. when you go down stairs you see a door in front but that one is locked... u look to ur left and u see the whole wall covered in bush, with a little door knob hidden. that was the entrance, very clever. The inside is decorated into Alice in Wonderland theme, big chairs, books, green floors, etc. I actually went here like 3 days ago since it had good reviews and i wanted to see how it is during "normal days". the drinks were pretty good and had a good atmosphere, something u dont feel compared to a local bar. anywayz, the event really reminded me of Pop Noir, club event i used to go to when they had it at staitc lounge. They had a short fashion show with great music. The DJs were amazing like alwayz :) and people there loved my edward outfit :D now for round 2!

how to get sho hair

so i have people asking me every once in awhile how i style my hair or they have trouble doing their hair at home. im gonna write down the basic steps of how i do my hair and advices on styling.

how i do mine:
1. since i have a little bit natural wave, after i completely blow dry it i flat iron the parts i want down (bangs, sides, back) if u hav straight hair already, just blow dry it and no flat iron. i recommend shaping the hair in this process so itll make it easier to style later. for example pull down the parts u want it to b down and try to make the roots stand up where u want volume.

2. take ur wax and spread it evenly on ur hands. put the wax from roots to ends where u want the movement. i only put very little on the parts i where down but if u want more textures looks on those parts too u can put more. dont try to make it look perfect when u begin, i usually just put it everywhere first and it looks like a bomb exploaded on my head. this is the key to put wax evenly on the entire head.

3. after u giv the exploaded look, then you shape it. put down some parts and u can make textures by running ur finger through (kind of pulling it between ur fingers) if u hav coarse hair and u hav trouble making the spikes put alittle bit more wax on ur finger tip and put alittle bit more on the ends.

4. when ur done shapping it and if u think it looks good, use a light, but still holds hair spray. i usually go with the ones that saids something like super hard or firm. u wanna stay away from the cheap hair sprays since they tend to buildup(cant wash all of it off) or it turns too greasy looking. go with the professional products, u get wut u pay for. you want to spray all over, including the roots evenly. u dont hav to put too much, just a quick swish around the head should b good. by using hair spray, the style should hold longer compare to just using wax. alot of people seems to have that problem and this is what most of my clients ask me. so this is the solution to making the style last.

advice to people that hav the opposite hair texture as me (straight and flat hair):

if u want just textures, the same process i go through should b good enough. if its not working u might want to change around the products u use. same wax and spray but a different brand. it makes a big difference.

if u want maximum volume, i would skip the wax part and just use hair spray. start by pulling ur hair up on the parts u want volume and spray ur roots and make it stand up. if its still not working, back comb it alittle bit and that should do the job. after u look like a lion, u can spray ur finger tips and make the ends of your hair alittle bit textured.

the picture i posted up is the product i use and also my favorite. i like all the products from the spice series but i alwayz end up using these the most. u can purchase them at my salon :] and i hope this helped. feel free to message me if you have any questions

relocating my front license plate

even dou i hate having front license plate on (it looks ugly doesnt it?is it just me?it looks so out of place :[ ) after getting a ticket when i drove up to LA and getting pulled over 3times in SD (lucky i got away with just a warning) i finally decided to put my license plate back on sigh...
i drove back to my parents place and picked up all the stuff that i took off (plate, mount, bolts etc.) and i realized i lost a few bolts and i couldnt get it to hold it in place arggg
so i went to check online how to "relocate" them, it looks different from other cars so mind as well do that. people usually buy the kit but i feel stupid paying extra for it so i roamed around the web reading some forums and i finally found a solution that would do the same thing for under 5$ lol. by using tie straps u can pretty much put ur plate newhere (not just the part where theres holes to put ur plate on) its pretty ghetto and im worried it might come off while driving but it seems pretty stable :]

Went to the strip club for the first time

so i called my friends up that also never been to a strip club. ended up with 3 of my girlfriends and i was the only guy.. and i guess that sent out a message to them that we're just there for fun and dont realli care to tip lol the strippers would go around asking for tip after a short show and some of them wouldnt even bother asking us, would just go around. which is a good thing cuz i hate when ppl ask for tips argh.
i got a lap dance from this blonde chick and it was 20$ for a song. it was hella short (was that even 2mins?) i felt ripped off but it was a good experience!

Pasta for dinner today~

I bought some stuff at nijiya market and i looked at my recipe and noticed they didnt charge me for the garlic (that i had in with the onions lol), good bcuz they were expensive. i didnt knoe garlics r so expensive when they r so small...when i was about to b done with making the pasta, i realized i hav forgotten to put in the bacons, fml. vegetarian spaghetti tonite! when everything was going good and as i sat down with my pasta and wine in my hand, i see my can of coke i had left last nite and its swarmed with ants. ANT INVASION PART 3. nooooooooooooooooooooooooo
