how to get sho hair

so i have people asking me every once in awhile how i style my hair or they have trouble doing their hair at home. im gonna write down the basic steps of how i do my hair and advices on styling.

how i do mine:
1. since i have a little bit natural wave, after i completely blow dry it i flat iron the parts i want down (bangs, sides, back) if u hav straight hair already, just blow dry it and no flat iron. i recommend shaping the hair in this process so itll make it easier to style later. for example pull down the parts u want it to b down and try to make the roots stand up where u want volume.

2. take ur wax and spread it evenly on ur hands. put the wax from roots to ends where u want the movement. i only put very little on the parts i where down but if u want more textures looks on those parts too u can put more. dont try to make it look perfect when u begin, i usually just put it everywhere first and it looks like a bomb exploaded on my head. this is the key to put wax evenly on the entire head.

3. after u giv the exploaded look, then you shape it. put down some parts and u can make textures by running ur finger through (kind of pulling it between ur fingers) if u hav coarse hair and u hav trouble making the spikes put alittle bit more wax on ur finger tip and put alittle bit more on the ends.

4. when ur done shapping it and if u think it looks good, use a light, but still holds hair spray. i usually go with the ones that saids something like super hard or firm. u wanna stay away from the cheap hair sprays since they tend to buildup(cant wash all of it off) or it turns too greasy looking. go with the professional products, u get wut u pay for. you want to spray all over, including the roots evenly. u dont hav to put too much, just a quick swish around the head should b good. by using hair spray, the style should hold longer compare to just using wax. alot of people seems to have that problem and this is what most of my clients ask me. so this is the solution to making the style last.

advice to people that hav the opposite hair texture as me (straight and flat hair):

if u want just textures, the same process i go through should b good enough. if its not working u might want to change around the products u use. same wax and spray but a different brand. it makes a big difference.

if u want maximum volume, i would skip the wax part and just use hair spray. start by pulling ur hair up on the parts u want volume and spray ur roots and make it stand up. if its still not working, back comb it alittle bit and that should do the job. after u look like a lion, u can spray ur finger tips and make the ends of your hair alittle bit textured.

the picture i posted up is the product i use and also my favorite. i like all the products from the spice series but i alwayz end up using these the most. u can purchase them at my salon :] and i hope this helped. feel free to message me if you have any questions
